The Boston family have made it their mission to provide both an educational and active program for kids. In 2015, Mark and Stephanie opened a preschool/daycare that does exactly that. While growing a family of their own, they have worked hard to create the healthy environments that they want their 4 beautiful children to grow up in. Today, the preschool has grown substantially, providing an active lifestyle to more and more kids every day, including their own. But they wanted to reach more kids in a way that included their families and affect communities in a much larger capacity. So Salturae was founded.
In 2018, Salturae started from a dream that there should be more fun, accessible activities for families within their community. With the observation that people of all ages enjoyed to run, race, and chase, Formula Run Races were created. Formula Runs are short race tracks that allow for families to run and race together in a safe and healthy environment, all while connecting families to other families within the community.
The long term goal is to use Formula Run races to raise funds and then use those funds to purchase land. With that land, we can build orchards to help the community connect with their local food sources and to encourage and increase their focus on caring for the environment. The land will also increase the value of nature within the community. Bringing back the beautiful colours of all the plants and fruit that can be grown, we aim to enjoy these orchards both in taste and in sight, and of course together.
“My inspiration of all of this was to leave the world a better place than I found it and to help others experience positive memories or core moments with their families too. We can all care for each other and the earth at the same time. We just need some help.” -Mark Boston, Founder of Salturae
